How I do so love my palm
In all her green, with all her charm
We play our games and joke a lot
Me in thongs, she a pot
Sometimes she likes to dance and sing
Though dancing’s really not her thing
Her preference is to meditate
And now and then, self isolate
But some will say “she’s just a plant”
“A Bunnings Special” some will rant
But she’s my friend, so kind and calm
I love my flowering bamboo palm
